Fibroids during pregnancy
Hi all!!!
I am 11 weeks pregnant. I have been experiencing mild cramping and back pain. I woke uo this morning with red spotting. I called my dr and he saw me immediately.
Fortunately, the baby looks fine!!!. However, he noticed that I have a fibroid which could have caused the cramps and bleeding.
Has anyone had fibroids during pregancy??? If so, were there any complications? I am extremely nervoius about this because you read on-line and hear horrible things!
I appreciate any feedback!
Thank you!!!

Re: Fibroids during pregnancy
I have a fibroid also. But thankfully it hasnt given me any problems or interfered with the baby at all. They are monitoring it though to make sure it doesnt cause any problems but so far at 22 weeks its been fine. Mines about 4-5 cm big. I wouldnt worry to much. My Dr said they are fairly common in pregnancy and like I said as long as they monitor it and it doesnt affect the baby you should be fine. Dont read things on line either it will only scare you. Just pay attention to your body like you did and call your Dr with any questions thats what they are there for. Feel better

Thank you so much!!! I am not sure how big it is. But he didn;t seem to worry about it. He isn;t my regular dr. My dr. was not in the office today, but they are part of the same practice. I am sure he would have been more concerned if it was too big. I will def tell my dr when I see her on the 29th!
I just feel better when I hear from other women who have it and know that they are ok!! Thanks so much
