drying up breastmilk
oh the pain
how long can i expect to be uncomfortable - i know everyone is different, but am i looking at 2-3 days, a week, 2 weeks, longer??? (please dont say longer)
im using cabbage leaves and ice packs; anything else help?

You should pump for just a minute or two to relieve the pain. It might take a little longer to dry up, but it won't be as uncomfortable.

I was better after a week. I used the cabbage leaves and also was told to avoid getting them wet with warm water in the shower. And always wore a tight sports bra.

Took me about 2 weeks to dry up. I constantly wore a tight sports bra even at night. I tried cabbage leaves as well. Time and advil is what did it for me!

I read mint can dry it up. Maybe drink peppermint tea or suck on some peppermints...can't hurt.

took about a month.. id go as long as possible before pumping. needed something to take the edge off.. also tried to epress in teh shower.. again to take the edge off.. good luck.. it gets better..
