Delaying vaccines
Who did it? Why? How did you spread them out? Did you follow dr. Sears schedule?
My daughter will have get 2 month appt Monday (she will actually be 10 weeks) and so far she has only has the hep b shot in the hospital when she was born.

I only allowed one injection per visit. We also delayed the chicken pox until required for kindergarten and the hep b. I didn't see the need for those 2 vaccines at such a young age.

My friend ust said that she also delayed pox and mmr. What's the reasoning behind it?

Delaying vaccines
MMR is a very controversial shot in the sense that it has a lot of side effects and is one you should def do a lot of research on. Your child wont need that until min is 15 months some drs 12 months BUT most allow you to delay that one as long as possible.
I only allow 1 shot per visit and my dd is behind schedule and Im totally ok with that. We discuss the which shot my peds is going to give her before he administers it. Most times I actually call the practice and have him tell me before the visit and I ask for the Lot # of the vaccine and check it on the CDC site.
I know personally know 2 people whose child had the MMR shot and after that stopped speaking. 2 very bright talkative children went from totally fine to completely speechless and are now in therapy.

We didn't delay our vaccines, we spread them out. We only allow one vaccine per visit. I feel it's more fair to the baby and God forbid they have a reaction, I will know which vaccine was the cause.
Sometimes I feel like I'm at the ped's office every few weeks (mostly during the baby's first year), but DH and I prefer this method.

We do two max at every visit. I plan to delay the mmr and actually see if they can get the 3 separate shots. There is way too many unknown variables with that shot, I know many drs who don't trust it and I'm not comfortable taking the chance with my dd.

At first I tried the one shot at a time routine. But then it was just becoming too much to bring her back so frequently so now she gets two at a time and is all caught up. She's fine after them so I'm ok with it.

there isn't any. the issue is that regression in regressive autism appears at the same time the mmr is given.

Its not just research its personally 2 separate family friends had their kidsget the mmr shot and then stopped talking. Went from fully speaking toddlers to completely mute and now require speech therapy and are being further evaluated. They were not in any way autistic before the shot.
The mercury levels in these shots are off the charts.
The hep b is given to infants barely a day old... why? Hep bis transmitted sexually and through iv drug use. Where would my infant be exposed to that? Research why they started giving it...
This is a very controversial issue and a very personal decision... im not passing judgement. To each is own. You must do what you feel is comfortable and right for your family.
I simply stated what i personally have seen and experienced through friends.

My twins are 22 months we have had a shots according to there schedule except MMR. We will do that around 2yrs

I delayed and spaced out all shots(mostly following Dr. Sears schedule.) We skipped-Hep B-massive social experiment, rotavirus, and have not gotten varicella yet. They just got the MMR at 4.5-no issues. They are totally caught up on everything now.

I skipped the hep B as well! I couldn't understand why the hospital wanted to give my one day old baby a shot for a sexually transmitted disease!
I asked my ped and she said that they tried to see if they could completely rid the world of the disease trying it from birth. Sorry no thank you. I wouldn't give my baby a genital warts shot, or a chalymidia shot either.

I used Dr. Sears schedule for my first, and will do so for this one who is coming on Monday... but I did give the MMR at 3 years old when she was starting to enter pre-school.

Do you mind sharing the ages they had MMR? Do you know if they got it with mercury or without? I thought only the multidose flu shot has mercury now.
