Fever Virus
Peds office said they are seeing a lot of this. We are on day 7. Cough set in on day 4, full blow cold symptoms day 5. Fever every day, but not as high as 104 anymore. Anyone else's DC have this? Are we at the end of it?

Fever Virus
Same for my 1 year old. It started thursday evening with 104!! We were flup flopping the motrin and tylenol. Fevers for 4 days. Cough started monday so we are on nebulizer and a little redness in his throat but no strep. We had gone back to dr monday bc fever wasnt falling below 100.2. Today is day 5 for us and fevers are gone still coughing.

Re: Fever Virus
Yes...my DD had it about a week and a half ago. 5 straight days of fever going up to 104.2 being the highest. After the fever she got a slight cold for a few days.

Fever Virus
My DD too. It started with a low fever Friday night. Ped said fever virus too. So far the highest temp we've seen was today at 102.9. She has a little appetite but thanfully is drinking her bottles and lots of water. I hope it breaks soon!
ETS: we've been able to get the fever under 100 with both Tylenol and Advil. It spikes out of nowhere around 3pm.

Re: Fever Virus
Thanks all. I don't want to jinx it, but I think the worst may be over. This was day 7. Still stuffy, but not as much nose blowing or coughing as yesterday. Fever only went to 101 around 4pm (it had been spiking higher and earlier). Gave motrin and it went right down. We finally saw a temp below 99 tonight! DH and I were jumping for joy. Our poor babies! It is so hard for them when they are sick so many days in a row. Praying for quick recoveries for all of your DCs.

Re: Fever Virus
My son had that in April... Temp over 104 on and off for 5 days... two trips to the dr to check his ears, throat, and chest.. His fever broke on day 4 at night and came back on Saturday at 104.2. He also had a cough by then with a little trouble breathing. Off to the ER we went.. He ended up having a RAGING ear infection.... A shot of antibiotic and the next day he was feeling so much better...

Fever Virus
I thought it broke last night but she woke up this morning with a temp of 102.9. She is not as lathargic as she has been other mornings. Today is will be the 5th day so I hope it's over.

Re: Fever Virus
Just thought I would update. DS's fever was 101.5 at 5am on day 8. We were back at ped's office this am. Ped thinks it was coxsackie even though his throat had been clear- he is now showing a few blisters. Also, because of the lingering fever and congested cough, he put him on amoxicillin and said to bring him back if the fever is not gone in 2-3 days. UGH. Also- a PSA that I am 99% sure this was picked up from face paint at a party, so even though the kids love it, if you hear other kids coughing, have them skip it.
