Need Help!!! Stomach/fever virus has been going on forever

I am at a loss. DS started throwing up last Sunday. We took him to the ER bc it was so bad and they treated him for dehydration. Since then, he stopped throwing up (we stopped formula and only gave Pedilyte). On Tuesday-Thursday, he had the runs and a fever of 104. The fever then went down to 101-102 from Friday to Saturday and the pooping stopped. We introduced formula slowly since Friday and sometimes he can hold it down, other times not. His fever completely stopped yesterday afternoon and he broke out in a rash on his truck that is spreading to his arms . He isnt really eating that good and half of his food is getting spit up. He probably drinks a total of 15 oz a day (usually drinks 24). I am just nervous. He is content sitting and watching tv all day which isnt like him either. WHat the he!! is this nasty virus or could it be something else? I am taking him to the dr. on Monday but i would love your input.

I bet by monday he'll be eating and drinking more..

It is a NASTY virus. We had it here...it took a week for everyone to be better and back to normal eating habits.

It sounds like the strain really hit your poor DS badly, but, the good thing is that the vomiting/diarrhea/fever part is done! He prob still just feels rotten from it..the fever breaking and rash coming out is the tail end..but it can take another few days for him to really want to eat and be back to normal patterns. 15 ounces a day is ok right now...it'll get better!! HTH

About 3 weeks ago, I had it with the whole family. My DD started with it and it went through the whole house. Honestly, she had vomiting for about 3 days, not herself for a whole week. And then, she actually got it again a week later, only for one night. The DR said it's normal for it to make a comeback. All I can say, just wash absolutely everything you can. It will be better.
