White kitchen counter tops?
I was set on getting a carerra marble-looking granite counter top in the kitchen but im afraid itll stain easily. Does anyone have any white counter tops that haven't had trouble with staining?

We were looking at biege quartz countertops and last minute, changed to white quartz and it was one of the best design changes. No issues with staining. Everything wipes right up. If it different martial, lets say laminate, the tuffer stains would be handled with a magic eraser.

Re: White kitchen counter tops?
I have honed imperial danby marble. It is gorgeous and less porous than carrera. I am completely anal about it but I really haven't had any problems. Any stain or etching I got I could remove including a stain of blue dye from children's advil. You just have to know what you are getting. I have had it for two years and don't regret my decision.

Re: White kitchen counter tops?
I'm looking do the same. Love the look of carrera but it's just not practical for us. I want to look at the following white/gray granite slabs in person:
-river white -super white -kashmir white (this one has some brown speckles, which I don't think I'll like) -white fantasy

Re: White kitchen counter tops?
Carrera marble is in fact soft and porous. If you want to keep it showroom “mint,” then you probably shouldn’t buy it because it is not likely to stay that way, especially if you are a family of cooks that use your kitchen. With that said, if you go to Europe, you will find marble used in many kitchen applications. They are scratched, worn, stained, and loved – it is part of their character. Sealing it absolutely does help, but sealing will not prevent all of the staining that might occur. If you like the look of Carrera but want it to stay looking mint, you might consider a quartz alternative instead. See this article for quartz options:

I would caution against marble, a friend of mine has this marble and she's very fastidious about keeping it spotless. One drop of anything not water and she's all over it.
I like the look of marble too but went with something that looks more like a River or Kashmir White granite. I get compliments on it and it's so low mtn compared to marble.
