Can you help me figure out pizza for a party?
I'm doing a pizza party for DS' birthday. It's about 35 adults and 14 kids. We'll have that, a salad, wings, garlic knots and probably mozzarella sticks. How much pizza do I need? And in your experience, should I mix it up? Get a few with pepperoni or other toppings? Which are the most popular?

I always over order but I'd rather it be too much than too little. I'd figure 2 slices per adult and maybe even some kids (depending). So I'd go with 11 or 12 pies. I'm sure it will be over kill but people can take some home or you can freeze it. I always do variety. Usually:
-plain
-grandma (usually popular with adults)
-pepperoni
-veggie or white w/ broccoli (a personal fave)

yea, I would def. get 12 pies and at LEAST 6 of them plain (for the kids and some adults, it will go the fastest)
then maybe:
5-6 plain
2-3 pepperoni
1-2 veggie of some sort (I love onions & peppers)
and
then maybe 1-2 of sausage or meatball (my family loves it)

We assume each adult will eat at least 2 slices each. Some of the kids can do that too... We always order extra...

i just had my DS bday party last weekend...i had about that number of people, i ordered 10 pies, garlic knots and salad thats it and i went home with 3 pies

Really???? That's surprising but good to know.
Thanks ladies for your input. Did you also have a pie or 2 cut into 16ths?
