Re: Any mommies with 3 kids?
I think it all depends on the age. I have 4 girls, 18, 6, 3 and 6 months. It hasn't been as hard as I thought it would be. Financially its killing me but I find it to be as same amount of work.

Re: Any mommies with 3 kids?
Me! ages 7, 6, and 2.5--1.5 years between the first two and 3.5 years between the last two.
All the grandparents live locally, but none are a terrific source of help; that didn't really matter because the transition was a snap, seriously (plus, by that time I learned to HIRE babysitting ). Then things started getting crazy when #3 was around 15 months--very stressful at times. We're in a groove now; it's still stressful occasionally, but nothing a glass or two of wine can't cure.
I've got a minivan and damnit, I love it!
Oh, and to answer your other question, I had three c-sections. Recovery was more or less the same each time--although there were some minor complications involving scar tissue and adhesions during my last surgery. As a result, my OB advised me to "think long and hard" before trying for a 4th...not that I was going to anyway...
HTH! Go for it!

Re: Any mommies with 3 kids?
I have 3 boys ages 6 4 and 2. They are always playing together & keep each other busy! Sure, they fight a lot too, but I hope they'll always be this close. Car wise, we have a traverse. Would love a bigger car, but it works for us.

Re: Any mommies with 3 kids?
I have a 2.5yo and newborn twins... All boys. It is awesome! So much so that I'm already trying to convince DH that we neeeeed to go for #4.
I drive a GMC Acadia Denali and its perfect. The 2nd row has 2 captain chairs, making it easy to get to the third row. We have 3 car seats installed comfortably and a double stroller fits in the trunk with no problem.

Right now I have a CR-V, but we are going for a mini van in the next few weeks.

14 , 12
10months
Harder financially and the older 2 drive each other nuts at times, oldest is special needs which makes it harder, and 12yr old is some delays, but for most part all ok. The hardest part was starting all over again with , my husbands first :), I am 43, husband is 7 yrs younger and we are trying for one more..hopefully and then I am DONE...
oh first was natural, 2nd was emergency c section and my last was planned c section..........if we have one more it will also be planned c section and getting tubes tied...
LOVE my mini van ...2002 Pontiac Montana, Robert bought it for me for mothers day this year :)

Mine have the same age differences- 16 months between the first two and then 3 years between the 2nd and 3rd. They are now 6.5, 5 and 2. It is very stressful but also wonderful....we are also not planning for a 4th though!

Re: Any mommies with 3 kids?
I have 2 boys currently almost 4 and 5 (14 months apart) and we are expecting baby number 3 in 7 weeks.
It will be challenging but fun I'm sure. We upgraded from the pilot to a minivan when we were expecting number 3. Grandma or someone else is in the car frequently so we needed it to be easier to access the 3rd row.
My family is 5 minutes away and have been a great help. DH family is in Ireland so not to conveinent to help :)

Re: Any mommies with 3 kids?
I have 2.5 year old twins and a 4 month old
My parents are here and help alot but they were away for three months and that was tough. Mostly trying to schedule appointments for myself. I am on an unpaid maternity leave right now and we don't have the extra money to pay a babysitter to go out for ourselves. I hate relying on my parents for everything but they have been GREAT! They take the kids overnight every 2 weeks or so which helps alot.
The hardest part for me is my twins fighting! I can leave the room for 1 min and things can turn ugly.
I have a love-hate relationship with my mini van. It is soooooooo convenient with the 3 but I still can't believe I drive one. I got it in black so I feel slightly cooler. We just drove to florida with all 3 kids and having the minivan was awesome.
Things are generally easy but there are definitely things I can't do on my own with 3 kids under 3 so it makes it tough sometimes.
Oh but I have a glass of wine often after they are all in bed!
Go for it! I grew up with 3 kids in my family and I think it is the best!

Re: Any mommies with 3 kids?
3 kids..ages 8.5, 6 and 2. The older two are boys and little one a girl.
I have very little help on weekdays. I am a stay at home mom. DH leaves house before 6am and home 7pm most nights - sometimes later...Luckily he is home most weekends. I have no close by family and still haven't found a babysitter to have a night off or help during the day if I need to do something without a child. I always have at least 1 child in tow!
It gets crazy at times but not too bad. Little one has learned to be dragged to all her brothers activities - that is the hardest part at times. Juggling schedules for 3 kids - 2 with lots of activities and the poor little one being dragged everywhere - cold, rain, hot, etc. I am glad I have three kids.
car - I have an enclave and DH a Navigator. Enclave suits my needs...just too small when we have a driving vacation...use the navigator for that with a roof cargo thing.

Honestly? After 2, 3 isn't much of a difference....no help sahm here....just had my third girl this Friday will be two months ago....so I have an almost 5yr old, 3yr old and the two month old....we got a dodge caravan when my three yr old was born its not the most chic car to drive lol but damn is it the most practical thing ever captain chairs to get from the drivers seat to the back for helping he kids get in and out or use the travel potty etc etc never have to get out of the car that alone is worth it in my opinion ....good luck with your decision btw ....I had the toughest time deciding on ttcing for a third too and then it just clicked and I said the worst thing in life to me is to regret and that's something I didn't want to do regret not having another baby and once I realized that we went for it :)

Any mommies with 3 kids?
I have 2.5 year old boy/girl twins and an almost 1 year old (next week) DS. They are 20 months apart. I drive a Chrysler town and country mini van and its still not big enough, lol! Honestly, it's HARD having 3 so young. We have no help from family, so it's just us. I mean, occasionally we can get a family member to babysit for us, but we have to plan WAY in advance. BUT it's fun and I wouldn't trade them for the world. They are all so close and i love that! It's important that you and your DH are supportive of each other and help each other out. DH and I say all the time that if my pregnancies were not so rough, and I didn't have to have a c section, we'd go for #4. Good luck with your decision :)

Re: Any mommies with 3 kids?
I have 3 boys ages 4,2 and 5 months. They are all just about 2 year apart give or take a couple months. I had a really hard time adjusting in the beginning. I don't have much help and my husband works nights so I am alone a lot. I would say by 3 months it all got easier and just clicked and its been smooth sailing since. I love having 3 ! We have a suburban ext and I love it ! Nice and roomy with the 3rd row and lots of trunk space. It's a luxury SUV but its like driving a bus.
I just wanted to add that I try to get out often and although the thought of being out with 3 kids alone is scary you just have to do it. It made all the difference for my sanity.

Re: Any mommies with 3 kids?
I have
7
6
2
My first two are 14.5 months apart and then my 2nd & 3rd are 3 years and 8months apart.
Are my days a little crazy? Yes. Would I change it? NO WAY!!
My kids all get along, which I think makes my life easier. The older two bicker and have that nonsense, I want what that person has sometimes, but they love each other. Getting out of the house is a little of an ordeal. Someone always forgets to go to the bathroom or needs a drink even though I reminded them to do so before we leave.
Probably the trickest part of it all is/was activities after school. When the baby was 1-2 and walking she was into everything and was very restless when my older two had something after school. I was lucky that a friend would help me out bringing my DD#1 to dance. I also felt like I always walking up my DD#2 from naps because of the older two. She definitely didn't have a schedule. She slept when I had a window to put her down, which worked out because she is my easy going one.
I am also a SAHM, with no family around. We live in NJ and everyone is in NY. We moved when my second was a week old, so I learned very quickly how to juggle being out here alone. They are my extensions and come everywhere with me and I am ok with that. I have to do what I have to do. It was a little annoying because when I just wanted to run in and get something at say CVS, it was never that simple. Looking back though, it wasn't bad. I think if I had it easy, I would have been board.
As far as car, I have an Infiniti QX56. I have captains chairs in the middle and 60/40 split for the third row. I had my fair share of cars and this one and the Yukon Denali with the same layout and the Esclade (my DH had that with a bench which I liked better) were my favorites. I will never drive a minivan so that was never an option.

Re: Any mommies with 3 kids?
I have 5.5 yo girl, 3 yo boy, 1 yo girl.
Going from 2 to 3, no big deal.
I don't have much help. Only on weekends if needed. I'm a SAHM.
I rock a minivan, and love it. It's what fits my life right now.
