Vitamins
Did you ALL bulk up on vitamins w/folic acid before/during TTC? They just make me SO queasy Even if I take them with a meal, and for HOURS afterwards. Is it THAT big of a deal?

Re: Vitamins
Have you tried different brands? I know a lot of people rave about the chewable ones.
I take the GNC prenatal with Iron and it's never made me queasy. However, I've always been a vitamin taker.
My gyno was insistent that I take folic acid the day I was off bc.

Re: Vitamins
It might help if you take them right before you go to bed.

Vitamins
I started taking an extra folic acid supplement a few months ago. At first it did make me queasy but I got used to them. I think it's just your body adjusting.

Re: Vitamins
Maybe I'll give the chewables a try. I've bought a few brands, but never chewables or gummies. Ty for the input!

I took the gummies for 6 months and I never had any queasiness. If my RE didn't switch me to a prenatal with more vitamin D I would still be taking them.

Re: Vitamins
I think you may benefit from trying a different prenatal.
My RE gave me theranatal. High in all vitamins, lots of folic acid and iron, not a horse pill, I am never nauseous even if I take it on an empty stomach, and I never have "fish burps" some ladies have from them. They are not expensive, and they auto ship every month. They have a prenatal and also a pregnancy one with extra vitamins. I take the pregnancy ones around O and the 2ww and the prenatal ones the rest of the month. You can order them online.
Good luck!!!!!

I usually just get the generic brand from CVS.

Re: Vitamins
I like the chewable vitamins. But they didn't have iron inthem so I took an extra iron supplement.

Re: Vitamins
The ones my Dr. gave me made me so nauseous! I switched to New Chapter, and I can take them on an empty stomach. They are the best I have found.

Re: Vitamins
I have a sensitive stomach and my dr gave me a rx for a brand that is easy on the stomach. I have not had an issue on them, and I have been taking them for about a year and a a half.

Re: Vitamins
I HIGHLY recommend Rainbow light prenatals. They are all natural and I have a very very sensitive stomach to vitamins and it is the only brand that does not make me hurl! It is one pill. If pill size bothers you, they have Rainbow Light Petites which are three small pills that give you the same as the one pill. I love this brand. I take a DHA pill on the side.
