WWYD- bringing baby with fever to bday party
DD is 9 weeks old and got her two month shots on Thursday. She woke with a slight fever today- 99.8. She feels warm. I gave her Infant Tylenol to bring her temp down. She's in fine spirits but I feel like it's a bad idea to take her to a 5 year old's bday party today. It's her cousin's party if it matters. The party is outside. My instinct says to just send DS with my DH for the party and stay home with DD. WWYD?

I don't think that's a fever. I don't give tylenol at that temp. Shes probably fine for the party if she's not fussy.

Totally normal temp for a baby. Fever starts at 100.3 rectally. I'd say you are fine to go!

Under 100.4 is not a fever in an infant. No reason to not go. That temperature is probably related to the weather.

So you would bring her even though she's hot? I'm worried about her sitting outside all day in the heat and feeling uncomfortable. It's not just the heat wave making her feel warm because she was fine Mon-Wed. I guess I'm just a worry wort if you all think it's ok to go!
