Grand Floridian, Polynesian or Contemporary
I think we've narrowed it down to this 3 hotels for May 2014.
I'm looking for any feedback. Which is your favorite and why?
Grand Floridian would be a garden view room.
Polynesian would be a standard room.
Contemporary would be a Bay view room.

Re: Grand Floridian, Polynesian or Contemporary
I love the upscale feel of the Grand Floridian. I would move in if I could. I love that Victorian theme so much. I personally love Alice in Wonderland so the new splash area is a favorite of mine.
The theme at the Polynesian is so much fun! Walking into the lobby screams "Vacation!!" to me. I also enjoy the beach for watching the fireworks at night.
The convenience of being able to walk to the Magic Kingdom and be the first stop on the way home using the monorail is a huge plus for the Contemporary.
Disney really is my passion, I could talk about all of the resorts all day long. If you have any questions please ask.
I am currently offering a free gift to all LIF members who book a package with me in the month of July and my services are always free for my clients.
No matter which resort you choose you will have an amazingly magical trip. May is a great time of year to visit Disney between the Flower & Garden Festival and Star Wars Weekends it's one of my favorite seasons at Disney.

Re: Grand Floridian, Polynesian or Contemporary
Something to look into...construction. I think the GF villas will be done by then but I would check. The poly is undergoing work (check tikiman's site) for info. Just something to think about if that matters to you.
We were just there May 13-20. We have been there two times during star wars weekends. I don't think the others parks are more crazy. The key is to hit HS during the week (We hit it on a Thursday) and avoid it Fri, Sat and Sun (unless you are interested in sw weekends). I wouldn't miss out on that time bc of it. Flower and gatden festival is going on then at epcot as well. Which also doesn't bring huge crowds but does have some cute things (play areas, butterflys).

Re: Grand Floridian, Polynesian or Contemporary
I have stayed at the Poly once last year and Contemp many times. And visited GF many times. GF feels too stuffy with kids. I have only stayed at Contemp without kids and having visited again with my child this year, I would not stay here with kids. Just feels very cold and not themey enough. However, I did have a MK view once and it was amazing.
However, POLY is the best choice of the 3 for kids, IME.

Star Wars weekends usually start early/mid May. Hollywood Studios gets crowded on the weekends but the rest of the parks are usually fine. I went to opening weekend last year and it was awesome.
