Engagement party attire?
We are invited to engagement party at four food studio In farmingdale. It's at 3pm on a Saturday.
Invitation says "dress to impress"
What would you wear? I'm clueless and don't know anyone else going!

Also what should dh wear?

I'd wear a summery cocktail dress. I know it's an engagement party and during the day but the place looks pretty fancy.
ETA: Think daytime wedding almost.
ETAA: For DH, I'd probably have him wear slacks and a button down shirt- no tie.

Engagement party attire?
Yeah, I'd go with something on the trendier side, like a long maxi dress in a classy fabric or design, or a lace sheath. Definitely not a sundress or anything casual.

I'm always overdressed - and 3:00 on a Saturday to me, doesn't scream cocktail dress - I think I'd feel WAY overdressed in a cocktail dress. -
I'd probably wear a wrap dress or something summery you could dress up or down - and dress it UP w/ heels etc.
