Moms outfit home from the hospital
So I have had outfit for a while but I just was wondering yesterday what should I be wearing home? I am not planning on having a c section but I know anything is possible. Is it best to plan to wear something comfortable like a cotton dress to alleviate pressure? Maternity yoga pants?

Re: Moms outfit home from the hospital
I came home in February. I did not have a c section but was still in a ton of pain. I wore sweats and a sweatshirt. All I wanted to do was get home with my baby and we were discharged so late I just wanted to get out and get home and didn't care much what I looked like

I'm having a repeat csection, and in the past I've worn yoga pants and t-shirts or sweatshirts. This go around I'm wearing a black maxi dress that i ordered for the summer and worn only once since I look like a circus tank in it with a cropped denim jacket(csection is in September) and flip flops or Toms.

Re: Moms outfit home from the hospital
I had a c-section in June with DD and will be having a c-section in June with this DC. I can't remember what I wore home and everyone keeps asking me with this one. I don't really care, I am so nervous, I just want to go home ok and have a heathy baby. I really don't care if I am wearing rags.

I had a c-section and the only thing that was comfortable were huge sweatpants. I got them for like $7 at walmart in a big size. I think I also wore a tanktop and sweatshirt over it. No one was looking at me anyway- everyone was looking at the baby!

Re: Moms outfit home from the hospital
I had a c-section but was 10 days early so my bag wasn't fully packed. So I wound up wearing home what I wore to the hospital! Yoga pants and a sweater (it was winter). You'll likely still be in maternity clothes (or stretchy clothes like sweats) for a few weeks after giving birth.
Also, bring big shoes or flip flops. My feet and ankles swelled up from all the fluids they gave me and my feet barely fit into shoes.

With both DDs I wore home yoga pants, 2 sports bras, a tank top and a zip up sweatshirt. DD1 was a CSection, DD2 was vaginal. Comfort was key in either situation.
Just be sure to pack some granny panties- even if you don't have a C-Section- you'll still want something substantial to hold the pads in.

Re: Moms outfit home from the hospital
I think I'll just wear a maxi dress home...I'm not worrying too much about it though, because I remember being sore and exhausted the past two times anyway.

I packed a maxi dress that I figured I'd just throw on. Figured it was easy and wouldn't bother me too much. I'm only going to be going from my PJs to the dress before we leave and then when I get home I'll probably change again. My due date is Friday so I figured in the summer a dress would be easiest anyway.

be as comfy as possible. while I was in the hospital I wore yoga pants, nursing tank and a hoodie. I pretty much wore that for a few weeks. Don't forget comfy shoes.

I wore maternity sweats and a t shirt. I was in no mood or state to be getting dressed up.

I had DD in the winter, and I wore yoga pants, nursing tank and zip up hoodie. I had a c-section.
I'd probably do the same, minus the hoodie, for the summer.

Re: Moms outfit home from the hospital
I'll be wearing yoga pants, a tank, and a zip-up hoodie. Done. I plan on living in that while home for the first 12 weeks. (As if that's any different then what I wear around the house now lol)
