Moms which gift would you have liked the best once getting home from the hospital

A co-worker just had a baby last week. My boss asked me to find something to send to her. I have only been with this company for 3 mos so I don't know her very well. I do know this is her second baby and she didn't register. Here are some things I found. Mom's which would you have liked the best? TIA

I think I would go with either the Bathtime basket or the Cookie basket. I got 2 of the cookie baskets, and we loved them!!! They were so unique, and they were delicious to boot!

I know it's not as pretty as these gifts, but honestly, the best gifts I got were packages of diapers or Babies R Us gift cards. You go through a lot of diapers and wipes in the beginning and it was a relief not to have to pay for them myself for a while.

Between the shower and baby gifts we got tons of clothes and bath stuff from close friends and family.

The best gift is food... not cookies, but real food, like dinner or lunch. Can you have a local catering company deliver a few meals or something like that? I remember those first few weeks, the one gift that stands out in my mind is when my friends came over, and brought a week's worth of bagels, lox, cream cheese, whitefish, cheese, etc. It was amazing.

Try to look for one of those Catering companies that make weekly frozen meals (a weeks worth of dinners, lunchs, etc.) and maybe get her a gift certificate to one so she can pick out what meals she would like the best. I know after I had my son my appetite got a little fickle because I still wasn't feeling all that great!

I agree about food, definitely the best for a new Mom and Dad. Of the baskets, I'd choose the cookies. I received a basket from them when I was sick last year and the cookies were soooo good.

i choose the cookies also. the diaper cake, etc. are cute, but im sure she has all that stuff from her shower or family and friends already. get her some yummy cookies, just for her. something she doesnt have to "share"with the baby.

I sent my friend an Edible Arrangements and she absolutely loved it! She said it was so nice to have fruit to grab for a few days.

I ended up getting the personalized diaper cake. I don't think she had a shower since it was her 2nd so I thought it would be nice to have something personalized. Thanks for your help ladies.
