anyone take anything before anatomy scan?
did anyone eat candy or oj or caffeine before their scan to help LO move around?? at my 12w scan, the baby didn't want to move at all and they had a hard time getting a measurement.

No. My baby is a mover. :) He was doing a headstand at the beginning of the ananomy scan and continued with all kinds of flips/turns. Made great pics :)

No and just because they are moving doesn't mean it will make it any easier to get a measurement. I'd just do what you normally do, personally.

anyone take anything before anatomy scan?
I had mine today and I had some chocolate and tea before I went. The baby was kicking around but was laying on its belly so she couldn't get images of the heart. She had me lay on my side for a while to see if baby would flip but no such luck. I have to go back in 2 weeks.

I drank oj in the waiting room! It was great to see the baby moving all around because of it. Got great pics and the tech had no problems getting the measurements.

I drank OJ before mine with DS and they were able to see but I don't know if the OJ helped or not.

Just go in as you normally would. With DD, they had me go out and eat a candy bar and then come back in a half hour - they still couldnt get the pictures they wanted. . . its not about movement but just position.
With this baby, s/he did not move AT ALL but was already in a great position so they were able to get everything they needed.
I also know someone who had to go back because the baby was all over the place and they couldn't get good measurements.
So, I would just bring some OJ with you and let them tell you what they need.

I didn't.. and then DD did not cooperate one bit. They gave me a glass of OJ and she still didn't budge
