Pack N Play- Newborn

Those of you planning on using the Pack N Play for your newborn babies.... Do you place the baby in the middle section of the pack n play.. the flat part? Or do you place the baby in the bouncer part?

I am registering for this one:

My sister in law laughed at me when I told her we were using this straight out the gate..

no-its the thing on the top.
the 2 things on the top are for when the baby is a newborn. one part is a changer so u can change the diaper. the other part is the newborn napper.
when the baby is not a newborn anyone and doesn't need the support of the napper for its head, then those attachements come off the pack and play and it can sleep in the middle
then when the baby is like 5-6 months old, that middle part gets lowered all the way and then the baby hangs out in it like that

Thanks for the info!

Is this something you'd use for the child to sleep in every day/night instead of a bassinet?
