Acupuncture questions
what is the average price for acupuncture for infertility if not covered by insurance? does it usually go per treatment, or do you pay for a few treatments at once?
Also, any recommendations for one near Huntington?

Hi! Mine was $40 per session and depending where in my cycle I was, I went 1 to 3 times a week. Some insurances cover it, mine did not.

Mine was $75 per session and I paid as I went. I've heard that some ins co will cover it if it's done by a "Dr."

I live in Huntington and went to Sandoval. I would not ever go back there. I ended up in the city since I worked there and went to YinOva and that's the cycle that worked.
Now that I am close to my due date and stopped working I go to LI holistics in babylonand I really like her.

I went to Ron Sandoval once and never went back. I was actually convinced I hated acupuncture after that time but was convinced by the ladies on here that I should try someone else before I rule it out completely. I ended up loving the acupuncturist I tried next and used him consistently for years.  He's located in RVC which is probably too far for you though.
As far as prices, it depends on the acupuncturist. Ron had a package deal. My acupuncturist (Andy) I just paid as I went.I paid $60/session which ended up costing the same as Ron except Ron's it was upfront and Andy was pay as you go.
eta: I HIGHLY recommend acupuncture. I had 4 transfers and got pregnant from 3 of them. Was acupuncture to thank for that? who knows... but when I go back for siblings I will def be doing acupuncture again in conjunction with my transfer(s)!!

The wellness center in east meadow it's my safe haven! She's not only a wonderful acupuncturist but she's kinda my shrink too. Lol. If you say LIF she charges $65.

I think $60-65 per session is normal. I use Andy Kaplan and would recommend him to anyone - but RVC is a hike from Huntington!

I've used 2 during my IVF journey and with both I paid per session . The first one I used was in Lynbrook but I forgot her name anyways she charged $50. I then used someone in Williston Park and she charged $85. Omg I can't remember these names. If I remember I will edit.

I hear such good things about him- i went to nursey school all the way to HS with him- Its a personal thing i dont think i can go to him :(

Acupuncture questions
mine was $75-90/session depending on if i booked multiple sessions at a time or not
i went to Michael Bennett the acupuncturist who works in SIRM. hes independent from SIRM so you can see him even if you dont do treatment there. i worked in the city so it was convenient for me to see him. i really liked him, very laid back, and i really think the treatments helped thicken my lining. his info is here metropolitan acupuncture

I called my insurance
I cna do 20 visits
and they will pay $25 per visit
I am thinking of calling andy- what happens on the initial visit etc?
