Dr update and pain!
I don't understand AF came early and is packing a wicked painful punch this month. My back and tummy are killing me!!
What can I take that will minimize this pain other the ibuprofen which increases you flow.
On a happy note I am getting blood work done tmrw - dr said that the 3rd day of your cycle I'd the best time to get accurate reads.
He then wants to do a D&C bc he thinks my pain and flow might get better, and even though he did a sono feels like I might have polyps. He will schedule after blood work comes back. This is Buber frustrating!!!
Thanks for letting me vent!

I would ask your doc, but the best things for AF cramping are muscle relaxants - which can increase the flow (which might be good at times)... however I've NEVER experienced an increased flow because I took Ibuprofen, or the stronger Aleve/Naproxen (which, when cramps are bad, I take 2 of the Aleve/Naproxen). I don't know how Tylenol/Acetaminofen will help, but it blocks the pain receptors so I'm sure it'll help, just most likely not as much as the others.

Ibuprofen will not increase your flow-- it will actually help to decrease it--studies show it can decrease it up to 30%. Ibuprofen blocks prostaglandins--by blocking prostaglandins you decrease menstrual flow and cramping.

The best time to check FSH and estradiol is days 1-3. Did your doctor say why he feels a d&c is the best way to go?

Thanks ladies! I am glad i asked!! He said the lining is very thick and if could be polyps or just a build up. He wanted to see bloodwork before making a final call on it.
This flow lightened up after 1.5 days which was normal for me two years ago. Wondering if stress was playing a large ole in all this. Looking forward to getting answers.
