Desperate for advice on Lovenex?

I have to start these injections tomorrow night...

Does anyone have advice on these?

I have been reading some scary things online about not administering it right, air bubbles, bruising etc.

Any tips or advice is greatly appreciated.

p.s. you would think I would be used to shots by now Chat Icon

Lovenox isn't a big deal, I've used it everyday of my pregnancy and I'm almost 26wks. Just like everything else, it becomes second nature.

Make sure the air bubble is at the top and inject SLOW because it can burn. Eventually you get the hang of it. I pinch the skin and inject a little bit to the side. It's supposed to reduce bruising. Good luck!

dont worry youll be used to it in no time. i was on it my entire pregnancy and am using it during my ivf/fets and thereafter.

theyre very easy to use, prefilled you just need to inject. I pinch up some fat and inject, verrrrrry slowly!! It def does burn, but it's not bad when you go slow. i never know how to not bruise, I always wind up bruised. They don't look good, but they don't hurt.
Good luck!

I used this also during my entire pregnancy and then switched to Heparin and lovenoz for 6 weeks pp. It would let the bubbles go to the top, tap and push them out. I dont remember the burn but I did get bruises & lumps and swear I still have them and its been almost a yr. If I get preggers again I will have to start from the BFN for 46 weeks!

Desperate for advice on Lovenex?

I ws takign a very high does during my pregnancy 2x a day. I almost never had bruises. I had heard horror stories about the brusing but Only had a bruise once when I hesitated during the shot and after deleivery when the nurses were doing it inthe hospital and just jabbing me.

it burns, the slower you inject the easier it will be. the bruising comes and goes - sometimes it was bad and sometimes it wasnt, it was all random for me. its been a while but i dont remember ever having a problem with air bubbles. you get used to it pretty quick though. good luck!!
