Well, that was quick! Even a court sentence isn't enough to keep Lindsay Lohan in rehab. On Thursday, May 2, the troubled starlet checked into Morningside Recovery in Newport Beach, Calif. -- and then summarily checked back out.

"She felt Morningside was not suitable for her," a source tells Us Weekly. "There were too many paparazzi everywhere and she didn't feel safe. Nobody close to her is happy about this. They think she's really not being smart."

According to the source, friends and family of the Scary Movie 5 actress are "fed up" with her behavior. "As of now, she is not in compliance with what the court was going to allow her to do," the insider adds.

Lohan, 26, was originally set to check into the Seafield Center in Westhampton Beach, New York, but opted to head to the California rehab center at the last minute.

"She was shopping at an electronics store, then she was on the [rehab center] property for a couple minutes but got spooked by the paparazzi," a source told the New York Daily News of Lohan's abrupt exit. "She was saying, 'I'm not going to rehab. I'm not going to rehab. Take me back to the airport.'"

According to the paper, Lohan then headed to LAX, presumably to hop on a flight to New York City.

"If there's credible confirmation she's heading back to New York, then I'm going to have to go in and ask the court to issue a warrant," Santa Monica City Attorney Terry White told the News.

If Lohan fails to return to the California treatment center by tomorrow morning, law enforcement sources tell TMZ that prosecutors won't hesitate to issue a warrant for her arrest.

Earlier in the day, as Lohan was checking into her court-ordered 90-day treatment program, her attorney, Mike Heller, was standing before Judge James R. Dabney in an L.A. courtroom, listening as White argued that Lohan was violating her plea deal because she was not enrolling in a pre-approved clinic.



White and his team questioned whether Morningside Recovery could provide Lohan with adequate care, presenting three articles "condemning" Morningside Recovery (the facility had its license revoked in 2012 and therefore cannot legally provide treatment). Dabney will make a formal decision on the matter a week from Friday, on May 10.

The Mean Girls actress has been ordered to serve the three-month stint as a result of her March no-contest pleas to reckless driving and lying to police. She must also receive psychological counseling, complete 30 days of community labor, and pay a series of fines.

Lohan's father tells RadarOnline that he foresees big problems if his daughter is really en route to the Big Apple. "If that's the case I have been told that she will be arrested in New York and her bail will be set at $100,000," he said.

I mean who is she to dictate the terms of her rehab?!? Initially she was supposed to go to a facility in the Hamptons, but didn't go there because they wouldn't allow her to smoke. So she goes against everyone and checks into this CA rehab, then checks back out?!!?

How is she even legally allowed to do that, if it's court mandated she attends?

LiLo's recent Morningside Recovery drive-by could prove to be very costly, and we aren't just talking about all the money she wasted on gas to Newport Beach!!

Prosecutors are giving the actress until the butt-crack of dawn to get her behind checked into rehab or else they'll seek to issue another warrant for her arrest!!

The Mean Girls starlet rolled up to the unlicensed treatment center earlier today, but wound up checking into a Fry's Electronics instead!!

The courts, meanwhile, are absolutely fed up with Lindsay's shenanigans and they've drawn a line in the sand!!

She has until sunrise mañana — approximately 6:00 a.m. in Newport Beach — to throw herself into treatment, but right now she's nowhere to be found!!

Will Lindz magically appear at the last second or did The Canyons actress go AWOL for realsies





The problem is.. she can go.. but, it's not going to help because they are going to spend the whole time trying to convince her that she has a problem!!

Usually when someone is court mandated, you go where they send you and if you skip, you can be arrested when they find you...interesting how this will play out since she "skipped" on one rehab place but is in another.. She is sneaky.

ETA: JMO - Even if she DOES (and thats a BIG 'if'), she gets her shit together, she has lost my respect and I'm sure I'm not the only person.

She will never have a succesful career again or be taken seriously for any good roles. She's done, she sniffed her career up her nose.

I'm so flucking sick of this asshole and anyone who uses status to get out of things, but i'm EVEN MORE pissed at our justice system. What a flucking joke and this idiot judges are just making it worse. FLucking throw her ass in jail and be done. She clearly has no respect for herself let alone anyone who has tried to help her. Enough is Enough, and we wonder why so many people think the law doesn't pertain to them. It's jokes like this that perpetuate that.
