This!!
I laugh at how dorky DH and I were when DS was first born... both of us trying to change a diaper at the same time...
Now I can do it with one hand tied behind my back. Well, almost
You'll be fine! It's when they get older that the rules seem to go out the window!

LOL thanks girls!! I'll save the panic attack for a few months from now then! I'm going to let my sister make the decisions for me, so if something goes wrong I can blame her LOL

Re: Mini panic attack
It will be fine. Before my son was born I never even held a baby besides had one 24/7. You will learn a lot in the hospital and something snaps in you and your mommy instinct comes out.
Trust you gut! You will be a great mommy!

Re: Mini panic attack
Don't worry, that's the easiest time to take care of them. You'll bring the baby home, you'll look at each other and say, "Now what?" Just feed, diaper and soothe baby in your arms. That's all the baby wants and needs.

Mini panic attack
Taking care of a baby will come naturally. It really will. I never even changed a diaper before my DS. Trust your gut on things. Don;t listen to others...they all have an opinion and chances are you will not agree with theirs.

Exactly!! You'll be fine!
Also- if you have a panic moment (I had a few with my first ) the pediatrician's office was very good about answering my silly questions.
My DD was only a few days old when I noticed her feet were turning purple. I immediately freaked out and called the doctor.
Turned out all I had to do was change the position I was holding her in so the blood would move through her legs easier. (And the purple was totally normal )
The nurse I spoke to was really nice and calming.
