Those of you with hypothyroidism....did your doctor have you continue taking your Synthroid throughout the pregnancy?

I think so..if i recall correctly......and sooooooooooooooo important to have levels checked every 3 months. its a must.

yes! it is a MUST. continue taking it and have your levels checked at least once per trimester

yes, i go every 6-8 weeks to my endo to get my levels check. your levels might vary while pregnant but you will always be on it.

Same i was dx when pregnant and see endo every 6 weeks
Its necessary to take for babys development

Yes, with my first pg. But, FYI- after I gave birth to my dd my thyroid levels went back to normal and I haven't been on synthroid for 4 years now.

I'm on levothyroxin (generic of synthroid) and yes I will be on it the whole time, unless my bloodwork says otherwise. I get my thyroid checked monthly.

I take synthroid because I had infertility treatments. My thyroid level is fine otherwise and I was told that once I have my baby I can come off the medication.
I haven't had my blood drawn to check the level but now I will ask for it at my next appointment.
