Morning Nap - Infants
DD is 5.5 months. She goes to bed at 8-8:30..,gets up to eat around 5-6:30am and goes right back to sleep till 9-10am. So overall she is getting 12-13 hours of sleep. So my question is how long will this last? Am I supposed to start keeping her up for a little? She is always so sleepy so I put her back down. Sometimes she kicks around a few min but then goes right out.
Every once in awhile she will sleep straight through till 7:30-8am and I just keep her up.
Also I should mention she is very pleasant all day and just does a few catnaps here and there. 2-3 short naps.

Morning Nap - Infants
I am of the rule of following the baby. Let the baby guide you when they need sleep. We let ds dictate when he need naps. He is now 11 months and goes down for one two hour nap. Sometimes he still takes a second nap

I definitely wouldn't try to keep her up. DD does the same thing sometimes, where she will wake up super early but then go right back down and sleep a little later. I don't really consider that a nap though, I see it as a continuation of her nighttime sleep.

My dd is 6 months, she goes to sleep at 715-730. Sleeps through (most nights) until 815-830. Then we get up and she's napping already by 10:30-11 for two hours. Then in the afternoon she will usually nap for about 30 mins around 3 or 4 pm. I do let her dictate when she naps though. She also started going to sleep earlier on her own. I was trying to set her bedtime at 8, but by 715 she is done.

My DS also takes a morning nap, he is 7 months. He usually goes to bed by 9pm then wakes up around 6am. He starts getting tired again around 8-9am and goes down for a nap.

i also tried this with dd who is 6 months but by 715 she is OUT!!!! usually sleeps through til about 7. then will nap around 10 and again in the afternoon usually 2x's

I'd definitely let her go right back down again. My son is awake around 7 and is tired again after about an hour (he is 7 months) and goes down for his first nap.
You said she is pleasant all day so I would try to keep it that way be letting her go right back to sleep - I don't see anything wrong with that at all.
