AXID

Did/Does anyone's LO take Axid? What was your LO like BEFORE axid? What changes did you see on axid- did it help?

She would cry after she spit up BEFORE Axid. I found she didnt cry as much. BUT what I didnt like about it was that every 2 weeks because she gained weight (was put on it at 4 weeks old) we would have to up the dose and keep upping the dose. Whens he was finally changed to Zantac she was 4 months at that point, she kept taking the same dose until she was 6 months. At that point she totally outgrew it.

My kids were on Axid from their due date (they are premies) until they were 10 months adjusted age.
It made a huge difference!!! They spit up all the time and screamed and were uncomfortable. The axid made it not uncomfortable if they spit up. We had timers set all the time so we wouldn't forget. They would be so uncomfortable, if we forgot. It worked for my twins.

DS was on Axid. For months we put it off trying everything else. DH did not want him on an Rx at such an early age. We were exhausted b/c DS would be up all night uncomfortable. We finally gave in and it made a ton of a difference. DH told me if our twins have reflux he will allow them to be on it from day 1.

Dd is on it. Made a huge difference.

Dd was on it for reflux from 3/4 weeks. She would spit up out of her nose and scream bloody murder and turn red, bugged out eyes. It was so sad and scary. She was also on maalox. I think the combo worked. She would still spit up out of her nose but not as much. The dr wanted to take her off at 3 mo but I waited til 4 mo. She stopped spitting up out of her nose around 2.5/3 mo as she was able to sit up straighter on her own.
