Birth class?
Anyone take a birthing class? If so, what kind of class was it, did you find it useful and how far along we're you when you took it?

I took lamaze. Can't remember how far along I was. No it was not that useful because I had a c-section and even if I didn't, I was pretty sure I was getting an epidural. I also took a breastfeeding class which was helpful.

Lamaze to me was a waste of money. Took it with DD#1 and did my own thing once labor rolled around.

Took a labor and delivery class, which had some Lamaze. Huge waste of time and money. I had dd without an epidural, and the class wasn't helpful at all

Birth class?
I took a first time parenting class and part of it was Lamaze and ways to make me comfortable during birth. We both enjoyed it and found it helpful. Jmo.

I took the class at LIJ and I found it helpful to learn the signs of labor, learn when to call the doctor, what would happen once we were there and get a tour. They did something on breastfeeding which was not helpful for me since I had no intention of breastfeeding. Overall, I'm glad I did it. This time around, I won't though.
