I had a reaction to it. I got before leaving the hospital with dd and the next day I broke out in an itchy, hot, bumpy rash all over my back. I took benedryl and it went away.

YES it hurt a lot at the injection site. It didn't hurt when I got it, but the nurse warned me it would hurt the next day. The same happened with my dh.
eta: it really only hurt the day after.. by 2-3 days after it felt fine.

YES!!! I had everything you described. It hurt so bad to the touch I would just throw the soup on it when I showered and I couldn't sleep on that arm for a week. My pain finally went away after about 7 days. I guess I just reacted badly to the shot.

Yes- it's normal.
I got it in the hospital when I had my 2nd. She was in NICU for a week so when I went back to visit I asked the nurses if it was okay that it was a bit swollen and still hurt and they said it was fine!
