Whooping Cough Vaccine
Have any of you ladies gotten it while pregnant
I have been reading some articles that they suggest pregnant women and their hubbies get it
I read it should be given late in the 2nd trimester or early in the 3rd.

DH got it from his primary care doctor a few weeks before I delivered. I got it before I left the hospital.

I would never get it while pregnant, but I'm paranoid like that.
I don't think I will get it in the hosptial either. I will do in evenutally.
DH just went for his annual physical and he got the booster vaccine. The doctor said it was a good idea for him to get it since he is a teacher and will have a newborn in the house.

My OB told me to get it at the hospital after delivery. DH is getting it at the dr

i'm getting it at the hospital, DH will be getting it as well as my sister and our parents....i've seen a ton of news reports about pertussis lately and i also saw segments this past month on the Doctors and Dr Oz so i'm making everyone who will be in close contact with us and the baby get it just to be safe...our extended family and friend are OOS so i'm not worried about them, they probably won't see the baby until she's much older but i'd be a little nervous having so many visitors if i was still in NY...i'm a huge germ freak though!
