I can't imagine why this would be a problem as long as it is cut up and not a choking hazard.

DD has been eating it since she was a year, I love the applegate chicken and apple sausage.

My DS is 14 months and eats anything expcet for peanut products (which Dr cleared hime fore but I am just scared)
So I would say yes def for a 4 YO.

I figured you were thinking of nitrates. I personally don't worry about nitrates (as long as it's not daily) at this age.

My DS has been eating them since he was about a year old, just cut up into small enough pieces (and we used to take the skin off initially)

Ok. Thanks. Just checking. It's funny I mentioned it to someone (outside of LIF) and she responded with "I personally wouldn't be giving my daughter chicken sausage". I didn't want to start off with that Bc I wanted truthful feedback! Thanks!!
