Did u find it helpful as far as makeup application & colors that looked best on you? What counter did you go to? I've always used Clinique, but was thinking about going to MAC? Thoughts?

Great question.. I use Clinique also, I feel like it was help with foundation liquid and powder but for lipstick and eyeshadow I always feel like they dont look good on me.. I was also thinking about switching but not sure where.. Cant wait to hear the replys

Yes but I go to Sephora. When i first started wearing makeup I had no idea what colors to wear and I have dark skin so I liked the selection and help from the staff.

I love the mac store at roosevelt field and have found the ladies there very helpful.

i always get my make up done at mac, you have to buy 5 things though. I usually plan to get it done when i have an event and im running low on products. i dont really speak or watch them though. they ask where im going and what im wearing and thats it. when you tell a make up artist you trust them and to do what they think will look best on you, you take pressure off of them and 9 out of 10 times they do a wonderful job. you can ALWAYS take peeks in the mirror and make sure they arent getting too crazy.

I love Mac.

The best exp i had was the one in Macys at RF. the girl was wonderful in being realistic with colors and everyday wear and did show me how to apply.

she would do 1/2 of my eye application and make me do the other side to learn techniques.

Unless I'm looking for something a bit 'more' ......but for my everyday routine, they never 'get it' - I don't wear purple shadow on a daily basis, I don't have 45 min to apply my makeup - KWIM?

I was at the Mac counter in Sunrise Mall Sunday. I needed more skin finish but I was looking for a nice neutral color shadow so they did my eyes. In the end I purchased it so I guess it was helpful.

I like to go but I haven't in a while. Usually Lancome. What is nice about sticking with one brand is that when I know I need something I can go to buy it and ask them to do my makeup. They go into it knowing that I will at least buy the things I came in for.

I went to the MAC store in queens center mall before and I loved how my makeup came out. The girl took her time going over the products with me and I purchased the ones I felt most comfortable using.
