Moms who feed dc Organic/healthy foods. What about school?

I just started looking at preschools for the fall for my dd. most of them offer snacks. I generally give my dd fruit/ organic snacks. On occasion she has had regular cookies, and very rarely candy. Most places serve crackers and cookies everyday. They did say I could send in my own snacks but I don't know how I feel about making my daughter the "different" one. I'm sure she will want what the other kids are eating. If you feed your kids healthy/organic snacks and meals how do you handle school?

My kids school gives them those artificially colored ice pops everyday. so I make homemade fruit ice pops and send them to school. I also send their own snack, but try to send something similar to what is being offered at school (in an organic version). Maybe try explaining to your child why you are sending a separate snack and you may be surprised how accepting he/she is of it!

I always sent my own snacks. Now I supply lunch and they have a little snack at school. They are 4...so I am not as strict as when they were smaller. I go with the 80-20 rule. I like 80% of their food to be organic. Most of the food they eat is healthy-very rarely have empty calories

I don't do this but, one of DS' classmates mom sends in organic versions of the things they are eating in school for her dd so she doesn't notice a difference.
