Glass bottles vs plastic bottles
We used Dr. Brown's bottles for DS and expect to use the same brand for #2. DH mentioned glass bottles last night. With DS we used the plastic D.Brown's.
What are the benefits, if any, to using glass bottles?

Glass bottles vs plastic bottles
I used glass with dd and am reusing them with ds. For me it's my preference. Plastic are definitely easier. They are lighter, you don't have to check for breakage, the baby can hold their own bottle, etc. I.thinj the glass bottles are cleaner...no proof of this just my feeling and I never intended on dd laying down with a bottle. I will say that my friend used plastic amd needs new bottles for her second dc...they are very discolored. mine look brand new. I just bought new nipples

Definitely preference> I bought glass ones and never used them. I felt they were too heavy and got hotter than plastic when warming the formula. If dropped, they could break. I used Dr. Browns plastic ones and am reusing them again for DS #2. I just got new nipples, they are in perfect condition. I do love the look of glass though.

Glass bottles vs plastic bottles
I did glass for my first and plastic for my second.
I love glass bottles and find they clean better and are more fresh than plastic. I would have done glass again, but my littlest is a thrower.
They don't always break when they drop and if they do, they don't seem to shatter. They just kind of break into a handful of large pieces.
I'm big on glass overall, though. I don't even use Tupperware that often. I find plastic takes on flavors and colors whereas glass does not.

Re: Glass bottles vs plastic bottles
I would've loved to use glass just b/c like everyone mentioned I like the look and I feel like the plastic ones hold a smell. However, DH is very clumsy and I would've been replacing bottles left and right. I haven't taken them out yet to see if I need to replace the plastic ones for this baby.

I prefer glass. I boil the bottles to sterilize them and who knows what that does to plastic.
I haven't had breakage as an issue, but I got DS off the bottle shortly after he was 1 year old.

Re: Glass bottles vs plastic bottles
We used half and half and liked them both. We used the plastic ones if we were going out and mainly used the glass ones at home. We only ever broke one of them.

Re: Glass bottles vs plastic bottles
I use glass for DD. I feel the glass is easier to clean than plastic and this is totally me... I feel that it doesnt get dingy. I bought a couple for travel, but within a few months it looked totally beat up. Its easier to warm up milk as well, and I just liked glass better. I have had my fair share of broken bottles but its because of my own clumsiness. But DD has tossed her bottles over and over again, it has held up.
I have also sterlized in a pot of boiling water, and no issues there either.
