Which one do you think you'll go with and why?

Re: Glass vs. plastic bottles
I am going with plastic. I plan on pumping and I wanted to get bottles that would connect right onto the pump. Also my SIL used glass and after awhile they started to get small little cracks in them.

Re: Glass vs. plastic bottles
I am doing a mixture of glass and plastic, and all the plastic are BPA free. For me, glass is just better all around. I am not a plastic person with any type of food container.

Re: Glass vs. plastic bottles
How are plastic bottles sterilized? I can't imagine heat and plastic mixing well. I'm just worried that glass bottles are going to be heavy and when the baby gets older that they can break easily if thrown.

Re: Glass vs. plastic bottles
I used glass exclusively for my DD until she was about 9 months and then I would use one or two BPA free plastic bottles. I loved glass though because they heat up super quick which is a blessing when you have a screaming hungry baby. I dropped them plenty of times and they never broke or cracked. I used Dr. Browns.

Re: Glass vs. plastic bottles
Plastic. BPA free plastic. I will hopefully be able to pump at some point and I want to give Miss Bean BM bottles. Also, I am a klutz and I can see a lot of broken glass if I use the others.

Re: Glass vs. plastic bottles
We'll keep using the Playtex insert bottles.
I can't tell you how many times DS has dropped his bottle on the floor. If they were glass- .

My sister does not sterilize her bottles. She throws them in the dishwasher. Her ped said this was fine.
A lot of my friends don't sterilize bottles

Re: Glass vs. plastic bottles
we're going with glass and getting a few of those slip on covers (just in case). we're not big on plastic stuff.
i had glass when i was little and the bottles survived...i used them as bottles for my dolls later
if we send dd to daycare...we'll prolly have to get bpa free plastic (or silicone) cuz i dont think they will use glass (but i could be wrong).

Re: Glass vs. plastic bottles
I am going with the BPA free plastic. I was afraid of breaking the glass bottles in the diaper bag or dropping them or something.

Re: Glass vs. plastic bottles
I am in the middle of using glass for DS and I used them for DD as well.. IMO nothing gets clean like glass does..
Plus- they're super affordable- even if you do break one here or there (chances are you'll break one faster than your DC) they are easy to replace.
