Nordstrom's customer service is amazing!
Just figured I'd put this out there as I was totally blown away by the customer service at Nordstrom's and am totally pimping them out now!
I had a marc jacobs bag where the handles were starting to detach from the body with threads pulling out etc. The bag was bought at the end of 2011 so I figured I should go through Marc Jacobs to get it repaired. 1 month of ENDLESS emails, I was given some form and told to mail it with insurance, delivery confirmation etc at my cost, and it would take up to 8 weeks to receive it back. uhhhhh, pain?
In one stop by the store with my 2 year old email receipt, Nordstrom is fixing my bag, free of charge and cleaning it to boot! And I'll be getting it back in 2 weeks. (they offered to let me just pick out a new bag just like that too!)
So, just a public service announcement to consider where you buy things from as I know other stores will give you a run around or can be an unwieldy process just to get a defective item replaced

Nordstrom's customer service is amazing!
That's awesome! I have 2 dresses that I ordered online from Nordstroms that I never wore, still have the tags, and are still in the plastic. I ordered them 4 years ago... do you think they'd still take them back? I keep meaning to go but since I moved further out east, it's a pain to go.

I'd call customer service first before you schlep over to the store. Even their phone staff was super helpful!

OMG, I just got a Marc Jacobs tote bag in October, paid $200 and the same thing, handles coming apart, just like you! I am definitely bringing it back! That a lot of $ for this to happen!!!

After college I worked at A&S and in training we were told to aspire to Nordstrom's level of CS. I still remember my trainer saying, "You can return tires to Nordstrom...and they don't even sell tires."
