Can you talk to me about Atlantis?
Who's been? Would you recommed it? What is there to do for young kids. They will be 3 and 1.5 yrs this summer. When is the best time to go? Thinking of this as a family trip this year.
Any info you can give me would be really helpful!
Thanks.

We are going without our kids. I looked into it as a trip with the kids but passed. My kids are also 1.5 and 3. My understanding is that even the kiddie area is gearedtoward older, like 4+. We are doing a cruise that stops In Nassau actually and not one single port activity is listed for the under three crowd.

There's actually no age limit on the shallow depth dolphin encounter. I had someone go with a 2 year old and had a total blast. They're not going to get as much out of it as, say, an 8 year old, with the water slides, etc but they had a great time and enjoyed it.

Oh, I must have missed that one. We are planning to use Nassau as a ship day so that I can wedge my fat ass into the aquaduck with less people watching...

I would not do this from a cruise as a day trip with children that young unless you are prepared to wear them all day. It is not stroller friendly.LINK TO REVIEW AT BOTTOM I just want to be clear though, it is an excellent vacation. I would just hold off on it until your DC are older than 4 to really enjoy the trip. It is not conducive to children younger than that age.

I read a very similar review on tripadvisor. Too much schlepping, not enough return. I'm hoping tons of people get off the ship there and we can see some characters and an uncrowded pool area.

I agree wholeheartedly with this plan.

Re: Can you talk to me about Atlantis?
We took a big family trip to the Atlantis last summer and had an AMAZING time! We were with 6 children - ages 11 to 8m and they all had a blast. My DS was 8m and we had no troubles whatsoever. We hung out at the beach and pool everyday. He loved all the fish in the aquariums! I highly recommend it and we had no stroller troubles... seemed to be perfectly accessible for us.
