Bf moms when did you have your first drink?
So I have a craving for a beer and I'm thinking about cracking open a bottle. Dd is 3 months and it should be okay to have one right? She just finished bfing and should be good for at least 2 hours.
When did you have your first drink?

Bf moms when did you have your first drink?
Around 3 months when I knew I could time it right. Although I asked my OB and he had said whenever I wanted, no need to wait, no need to worry about timing around feedings. I guess he's pretty lax about it.
ETA: absolutely have one (or 2) and enjoy!!!

I gave birth May 11th and went out for a friends 30th birthday bash June 17th. So, not long at all.

Not long here - Had my DD June 25th and had a couple glasses of wine on the 4th of July! Just made sure to pump first.

I have no idea when I did, but I would definitely go for it! Definitely do it as soon as you finish nursing and if you start to feel it then of course you don't have to finish it. I'm pretty sure at this point I'm tipsy before the bottle hits my lips. I was a lightweight before I was pregnant, so 8 months into nursing I have no tolerance at all!

I am drinking a glass of wine as I type...
My first drink (beer) was about 4 weeks PP (Halloween).
I have about a glass or two a week, after DS goes down for the night and is done BF for the day. If I feel tipsy, I pump & dump.
I say pop a bottle open & enjoy!!!!

Just wanted to share that there's no need to pump and dump the milk. The alcohol is processed out of your milk the same way it leaves your blood. Once it's out of your system it doesn't effect the milk either.

they were still in the nicu. but I didnt give them/send in that milk. Once they hit their due date I was comfortable having a beer or glass of wine. Months later, I go by the rule of dont feed/pump when you are buzzed.

Ummm I think I had a beer 8 days pp. my twins were in the Nicu though I dumped the tiny bit of milk I pumped after.

I actually was told that a Guiness increases the milk supply. and it totally worked. only one but it is so good. actually Im having one now.
