People need to learn how to SHUT IT!
Why do random strangers feel the need to comment on you???? I have avoided the mall for the past month because everytime I am there, I get about 5 comments. Today, after not leaving the house for 3 days, I decide to venture out but making sure I do not make eye contact with anyone so they do not feel the need to tell me how huge I am. Of course, the second I put my cards on the counter at Hallmark, the cashier feels the need to tell me that I look like I am about to explode. I say to her in my most sarcastic tone "Thank you. How nice of you to say". She quickly apologizes. Am I aware that my XL maternity tshirt no longer covers my belly? Yes. What do you want from a woman who is 36 weeks pregnant w/ twins??? I hate that people make me not want to leave my house.

Its good that you answer back to them - maybe next time they will think before they speak. I had some people tell me I was carrying small - like something was wrong with me and the baby. Then towards the end - I was getting the remarks about how big my belly was.
Some people just don't know what to say when they see a pregnant lady - its a strange thing about society I guess.
But - Im sure they didn't mean any harm.

Wow!! That is very rude, but I'm sure her intent was not to insult you. Hopefully she learned her lesson and will never say that to a preggo woman again. Sorry that people say this to you, people can be very insensitive sometimes.

Unfortunately, at 30 weeks, I get the same comments and I am NOT carrying twins

I used to love the expression on their faces when I would tell them I was having twins, they would suddenly reverse their comments and say how small I was!

I swear when my time comes and someone says that to me I am going to be sooooo tempted to say...
"Well, I might be temporarily really big but you are really RUDE and that's permanent"
BTW: You look amazing 
I've seen some non-preggo women and men and well... they look like they could be carrying quads

I get sarcastic too...DH doesn't understand why I get so upset...he feels we are supposed to be big when we are pregnant...I just feel people are CLUELESS and dont know any better, other days I feel people are just down right rude.
My newest answer to them is..."Things NOT to say to a pregnant woman!!!" and walk away with a smirk!

Good for you! I am so tired of comments- unless you tell me, like my principal(not the clueless, rude one) that I am one of the most beautiful pregnant women you have seen, SHUT UP!
That had to be the nicest comment anyone has said to me this whole time. They could learn from her.

I totally understand!! I have been hiding out in my house too.....the other week my DH wanted to go to the diner and i was very adament about not going because everyone gawks at me and he's like your exagerrating. Well i finally decide to go and not only does the owner (who i never met before) come up to me, touch my belly and tell me wow you look like you are ready to go now...we then walk to the back of the diner and seriously every person in there stared at me. When we sat down my DH was like okay you were right, i thought i was walking in with a celebrity.
I really only look like i am just about to go with one. I just have never done that to a pregnant person before and are shocked at how many people have commented to me in the past few weeks. From the deli guy (any day now huh), to the bagel girl (you still have not given birth) to the woman on the street who said boy you must be overdue.
Hang in there we are almost there.
