My husband decided that it was ok to anounce out pregnancy on fb - and im only 8 weeks! I know that he is excited but he didnt even ask me first. To make matters worse, a lot of my friends from work are on his fb - so i was outed at work too! This makes me so nervous bc im still in my 1st tri. Would you be mad at him?

I would totally be upset!!! We didnt come out on FB until about 20 weeks because I was so nervous! Dont get yourself worked up, its cute he is so excited!

I would be so mad -- I didn't announce until 16 weeks because I was so nervous! It's adorable at how excited he is, but he shouldn't have announced it until the first trimester was over.

I would be mad but at the same time, being mad does nothing but stress you out which is something you don't need right now. He can apologize but he can't fix it.
If you makes you feel any better, a friend of DH's announced it on FB at 7 weeks that she was pregnant. She is now about 24 weeks and is having a healthy baby boy!

Exactly. I'd be livid but there's nothing you can do about it. I was so pissed at DH's fam for telling the ENTIRE family when I was 6 weeks but it didnt solve anything. That time I ended up having a miscarriage and I had tons of support since so many people knew- it wasnt a bad thing.
I didnt come out on FB until 28 weeks this time lol but I understand. The only thing you can do is tell him why it was wrong and move on!

Same. He should have asked you first. I always think it's odd when someone decides to announce something like this on FB without checking with the other person.
And Liz, it takes very little to get me mad too

I would be livid! This happened to me and I was livid when it happened. It wasn't DH that did it to me it was my Dad. I didn't talk to my dad for 3 weeks because I was so pissed off at him.

Just for the record - I hate facebook for this reason......if someone knows your information it can be made public in seconds without your knowledge or permission. This happened to me and an aunt I am very close to and was planning a special reveal for found out from people congratulating me on fb even though I hadn't posted anything there. She was upset, I was pissed, the whole thing was awful. So yes I would be mad, but I agree with a pervious poster, it can't be undone so eventually you are just going to have to let it go and hope he does better next time.

I would be annoyed. I even confirmed with dh when we would tell our families, friends, etc. I would be so upset if he went on fb and told everyone without letting me know. There might be some people you wouldn't want to find out through fb. But with that being said - what is done is done and just explain that in the future you guys need to discuss what and when things will be let out. It is nice though that he is so excited and wants everyone to know!
