Constant Headache & Seeing spots
I’ve been having this bad headache all week which I attributed to a cold or whatever it is that I’m fighting. Earlier today I was sitting down and saw black spots in my vision. It went away after drinking water.
I looked online and found that it could have just been a little dehydration; or it could be from low/high blood pressure.
I’m assuming the spots were just from the fact that I haven’t been feeling well and at that moment I was really hungry from not eating lunch on time. I feel fine now; no more spots; but my head is still hurting.
Is this something I should be concerned about? The headache has been persistent since Tuesday or Wednesday. The black spots were only for a few seconds earlier today and haven't returned.
I've always had normal BP at all my OB appointments.

i would call your doctor just to be safe. a headache that doesnt go away with spots sounds like a migraine but bc you are pregnant better safe than sorry especially since it is friday - let them tell you if you should come in before they close today. you woudlnt want to feel worse over the weekend and end up in the emergency room.

I'd drink A LOT more water. And call your dr if you're worried. But my guess is you aren't drinking enough. And make sure you eat!

I'd definitely call the doctor and let them check you out. they'll check your urine for protein, your bp and swelling.
if all is good, they'll probably just tell you it's dehydration and stay home and rest. That's what happened to me.

My first thought was dehydration. Have you had the heat on this week? You may just need more water.
If you feel like you should call the doctor then definitely do, it can't hurt.

Please call your obgyn. These are some of the symptoms of preeclampsia. Lay down on your left side. Drink a lot of water. Please, please call your obgyn to see if you have protein in your urine. Are you swelling? You obgyn may want you to go to l&d.

absolutely call your doctor. the headache is one thing but the spots can be a sign of pre-eclampsia which is a very serious condition. it can def just be dehydration but with pre-e you are much better safe than sorry since the onset can come very quickly. how many weeks are you?

Re: Constant Headache & Seeing spots
I saw spots and fainted 2x a few weeks ago. It was a combination of dehydration and low blood pressure. Baby was fine and dr was not concerned. She told me to drink gatorade since it will help me stay hydrated longer than water. Now I make sure I drink plenty of water and one gatorade a day. Hope you feel better!
