I've heard of it happening...
I'm pretty sure my paperwork from the OB said to contact them if this happens. Regardless, I would tell the dr about it.

I don't want to worry you, J, but I was always told to call Dr right away if I ever saw spots. Apparently its an indicator of HBP.

Definitely call the dr...just to be safe. I've definitely heard of it being linked to high blood pressure, and in turn preeclampsia.

Like the PPs said, it can be linked to high blood pressure and/or preeclampsia so I would call the doctor and get your blood pressure checked just to be on the safe side 
ETA: I had preeclampsia and after birth I believe I was told to look out for blurred vision or any vision changes. But I would still call for seeing spots.

like the other girls said.. call the Dr and have your blood pressure checked. However, I have had this my entire pregnancy. My blood pressure has been perfect, they have found no reason for it at all and chalked it up to lack of sleep.. but I would still get checked. Better safe than sorry

That happened to me twice at the end of my pregnancy, it was so quick and I never even thought to call the Dr.
I had great blood pressure my whole pregnancy but in the hospital after my c-section, I had high blood pressure.

I do not see spots, but my right eye is so much blurrier than ever. Even with my glasses on, I can't see. When I went to the eye dr. they said when you are pregnant, your cornea changes shape, but it should go back to normal after you have the baby. Let me know what your dr. says... I am curious.

I had this alot with my first DD. Mostly in the shower. I wouldnt worry. Dr. told me its due to increase in blood supply.

When I was preggo I had elevated BP in the 2nd and 3rd tri- I was on meds for it.
They always told me that if I saw spots to call them.
It's definitely a sign of high BP.
Make sure to get it checked out

Ditto!
I had very high blood pressure when I was pregnant with DS. And they were most concerned because I never "felt" any of the HBP symptoms. They always warned if I saw spots and/or had a severe headache to call doctor immediately.
I would give OB a call and see what they say.

Yep... I had it alot in the thirs tri and was constantly monitored. I developed preecampsia during labor and my BP took a LONG time to come down after bith even with Magnesium and other drugs.

nope. no preclamsia. BP is 100 over 75 with no protein in my urine. They did bloodwork. Just add these new symptoms to the long list of cr@ppy symptoms i have had with this pregnancy. Never.ever.again. Remind me to spank this little Princess when she makes her arrival

wow - never thought to call my dr. I had them 2 days ago. It was real weird. I had my OB appt yesterday and didn't mention it but no issues with pregnancy or with blood pressure so hopefully it was a freak thing.
