seeing spots that are not a sign of pre e?
As soon as I woke up today I started seeing white flashing lights. I drank and they went away but I've had a headache all day and just feel crappy.
I'm thinking it was just dehydration since it went away so quickly. My doctor has been incommunicado all week and I am not wasting gas to go to l&d when I truly think it's not pre e. Anyone else have this and it just be dehydration? I think pre e is black spots, right? I'm 33 weeks w twins. I have swelling but I had it two weeks ago at my last appt and no protein. Tia

I had this with extreme swelling and also I ha high blood pressure with headache I wound up being diagnosed with pre e. I would always be safe than sorry

Crashing...I had a lot of strange vision disturbances near the end. I sometimes had headaches with it, sometimes not, and sometimes just felt crappy like you said. My blood pressure was high but it never developed into anything. I did have protein but a 24 hour collection was clear. They just monitored me, told me to lay down and drink lots of water when it happened. I would at least call L&D if you can't get in touch with your doctor. They can have the on call doctor speak to you and let you know what you should do.

I see white Floaters spots all the time, normally when i'm dehydrated or getting nauseous and sick. I'm 40 weeks and have been checked for pre-e. If you don't have the other signs and everything else is good, I would just say to keep yourself hydrated and go from there, if they become more frequent of if you get a shooting pain in your upper right belly go to L&D as that is a big sign of pre-e, along with spots and headache!

any visual disturbances can be pre-e, its not a specific color although black floaters are typical.
i wouldn't go to l&d but i would try to get in touch with your OB. even if you had no previous signs of pre-e, it can come on very quickly and it is def one of those things that's better safe than sorry (you know im not at all an alarmist about that stuff either). good luck!

I havent seen anymore weird things since that one episode yesterday and ive been drinking like crazy.

I had Postpartum preeclampsia and had a vision problem only once. is there any way of taking your blood pressure without going to the dr?
i agree with above better safe than sorry!

i had a few episodes of floaters for a week or two before my pre-e dx. i never even thought twice about them cause they never bothered me too much, it would just come and go every once in a while. im sure now that it was related but at the time i def didnt think anything of it. just keep an eye on the situation (no pun intended)
