question about escrow
so dh is getting nervous with the storm coming this weekend
we added my e-ring to our homeowners, but didn't notify our mortgage company
do we need to? would they be able to deny a claim on our house if we didn't notify them of the e-ring?
tia!

question about escrow
In a situation like that they really have nothing to do with each other. Also, if your mortgage is listed on your policy (which it should be) the insurance company is supposed to send them an amended coverage page when changes are made anyway. So technically they should already know about it. again, it wouldnt make a difference though because one has nothing to do with the other. Mortgage companies want to know that you have enough coverage on the structure of the home in case of a loss so they know they're guaranteed their money they lent out.
