worst sore throat ever!
I have an OB appt tonight at 645... I am going to try to move the appointment up... If i can't should i go to an urgent care place? My regular Dr has the worst office hours... My throat is literally on fire!!!!

I would definitely tell them you want to move it up and you're in a lot of pain. It could be nothing but it could be strep throat. I would ask if they have rapid strep tests at your OB (my guess is probably not though) of they don't I would go to an urgent care place. Try some tea with honey, or even just straight honey to soothe your throat.

Suck on some hard candy if you have it, and drink some tea. I had this starting on Friday, now it's a full blown cold. Feel better!

I too had this last week and then a full blown cold started and hasn't left yet. I had an OB appt the day of my sore throat. Drink tea and soup to get you through it.

I moved my appt up to 130... The nurse said i could take tylenol cold and sinus and robittussin if i feel a cough coming on...

Ugh... My throat feels better but im so stuffed up its ridiculous.... I finally fall asleep and some asshole mosquito bites my forehead 5 times and i have huge welts.... And now im stuffed up even more... Of that's possible and can't fall back to sleep....

Neti pot, neti pot, neti pot......you will feel instant relief! (for your nose/throat)
I usually do an x in the bite and put alcohol and that usually gave me enough relief to fall asleep.

I usually do that too... I did alt with warm water on a paprtowel. Thy stopped itching right away but my forehead hurt... Idk if it was because thy were all so close together...
Im going to see if my sister is around to bring me to Duane reade

Ang I hope you feel better!!! Glad you were able to move your appt up!
I've been stuffed up too and woke up with a sore throat but it's going away. I'm thinking it's because the heat was turned on and now it's super dry in the apt. Is that possible?
Also, check with the dr if you can take honey. My sister is an OBGYN and she made a comment once how newborns can't have honey for the first year of their lives because of something in the honey. I don't know about pregnant woman but just wanted to tell you that.

It actually is ok. The reason kids under 2 can't have it has to do with their stomachs not being mature enough or something like that. And i think only unpasturized honey is not ok.

When I'm super clogged up I try to use warmer water....obviously not boiling, but as hot as you can handle....sometimes ill just put a little hot sauce on a tissue and sniff a little...it helps clear the nose up enough to neti....hope you feel better soon...it's the worst feeling on a normal day, but when there is not much to take to help you feel better faster it stinks!

Thanks...ill try the warm water in a bit. I got the vicks humidifier just now as well... I've spent over $100 on shit to make myself feel better. Lol this is crazy

I did the same thing....I've been a walking Lysol can in an effort not to get sick again....if you have hot sauce...definitely try that...you can even add boiling water to that to get a little hot sauce steam going to clear out your sinuses....ugh!
