low progesterone levels

i ovulated last sunday. i went to my RE yesterday to check my progesterone levels. the nurse called me later in the day and said my progesterone levels are a little low and prescribed me Endometrin Vaginal Insert. I started taking it last night. I have to take it twice a day. Has anyone taken it? Does it mean that I may not be PG this cycle? any advise? thanks

I took it every cycle we did, it can get messy,def wear a liner or pad and make sure it is up there lol

U could be pregnant,they just like it over a certain number and if your progeterone is low this will help.

Hi - I'm not sure if my situation helps you, but I had gone to the ob at 5.5 weeks pg with some abdominal pain and they took blood work as a matter of course. Turns out they discovered my prog levels were low - maybe 9 or 10 or something and they should have been 12 (if I remember right) he perscribed me those suppositories and explained in a very nonchalant way that I may lose the pg. I cried the whole way home. I came home and searched on this website about Progesterone. It seems there are a lot of girls in that boat.

I took the suppositories off and on until 12 weeks. Have a happy healthy 6mo. now.

Another dr in that practice agreed that my levels were low, but she said that since they don't normally do blood work at 6 weeks, I could just run low normally (with first dc I didnt need the suppositories)
