Inexpensive area rugs?
I need some new rugs, but with 3 little kids I don't want to spend a ton. Where do you recommend getting inexpensive ones? I've looked at Target and don't love any thing.

Re: Inexpensive area rugs?
Everyone has a different idea of what "inexpensive" is. I just bought two area rugs- large ones so they were on the pricier side. One from rugsusa (used a groupon) and one from rugstudio.com. I am VERY happy with both and was able to google a discount code for each which brought down the cost significantly. I have a large, 120 lb. dog and each have held up great despite the lighter colors I chose. FM with any questions becuase I was looking for rugs for what seemed like FOREVER!!

Home Depot, or any rug store for remnants. Less than $150 for 8x10s.

For some basic ones that are not expensive at all, check out walmart or kmart. I got some there for $20-$30 each.

Re: Inexpensive area rugs?
Also, I don't know what type of room this is for, but for an area like a den or a family room with heavy traffic and where the kids spend a lot of time, I've seen it recommended to buy an indoor/outdoor rug.
They have a lot of varieties on the market now, and they look like traditional area rugs, but are a lot more durable and practical and will hold up better! It may be a way to prolong the life of your rug (and save money), even if you buy a relatively inexpensive one.

Re: Inexpensive area rugs?
I just got a gorgeous rug at Home Goods. But if you are looking for something inexpensive, you may want to go to a rug store and have them bind a patterned remnant for you.
