How do you get rid of negative thoughts during Ivf?!!

I cannot get past the fear that it will not work and all the what ifs. I am not sure we can really afford another cycle and I am so nervous. I am responding very slow to stims so just have anxiety all around!!!

I bought the Circle + Bloom - IUI/IVF Mind Body Program... it helped A LOT!

I think it's impossible to not have at least SOME negative thoughts. Being completely positive is just unrealistic because nothing is a guarantee. I think what's important is finding a balance and remaining hopeful. Positivity does NOT get you pregnant.. but if you're very negative and do get pregnant, you will have wasted a ton of time and tears for no reason.


eta: I once went into a transfer crying in the waiting room and telling my dh to not let the embryologist give us a picture of our embryos because it didn't matter. Well ... I got pregnant that cycle .. and boy did I feel stupid.

Nothing is guaranteed even IVF so going in realistic and hopeful is how I went into it...it really helps to try and relax and just think that you have a good chance of it working but do not beat yourself up if it doesnt...wishing you tons of luck!!!

Oh I completely feel your pain. I went through it with my IVF cycle too. Its completely normal to think of the what-ifs. Its such an emotionally draining process and you just feel like you have everything at stake here. COMPLETELY normal. You can only try your best to relax. Is there anything you can do that helps you relax and unwind? It may sound silly but I remember when I was going through my IVF cycle I would take Ocean Parkway home everyday from work. Driving along the ocean and the calming scenic route helped put me at ease.
