Should be having my C-section right now...
But freaking LIJ bumped me to WEDNESDAY.
I'm in so much pain and anxiety with these twins and every day is noticeably worse.
I know some will think to say - relax & enjoy the extra time - thank you but there is no relaxing at this point. I've been on bed rest and am beyond sick of not being able to do anything. I'm dependent on people. My mom's had to stay w/me the last 4 wks while dh is at work. I can barely hobble to the bathroom & need a wheelchair for dr's appts. I have trouble breathing - feel like I'm drowning. Any position is painful & I'm swollen no matter how much I elevate. There's more also but....
I need my body back & to start the road to recovery. This experience has brought up so many fears of what it's like to actually be permanently disabled.
It has certainly made me stop taking my health for granted. I just can't wait to feel like myself again and to see my babies safely out of me.
After all I've been through, this just feels like a cruel blow.
And it's harder to actually picture my babies. I just feel like this is a nightmare.
I'm obviously not in a good place mentally/emotionally.
My most effective coping mechanisms have always been working out, yoga, dancing, walking & playing w/the dog, going out & having fun - none of which I've been able to do for months. Can't even concentrate to read, which I was looking forward to having time to do. I also get dizzy/lightheaded. Just feeling so sad.

Im so sorry its been so tough for you. I can only imagine how frustrated and impatient you feel right now on top of the discomfort. I have no words that will make you feel better but wanted to say good luck to you and Wed hopefully will come quickly for you! i'll also be going in Wed evening and getting induced Thrs. (tomorrow is my due date)

Oh how horrible!!!!
Can you have a few friends come over the next few days to help pass some time? I know that always helped me during my low points on bed rest.
Also I watch my wedding video always brought a smile (and happy tears) to my face.
Hang in there although wed seems like a lifetime away it will be here before you know it!

I remember how dreadfully long every last day was at the end and I was nowhere near as compromised as you. It will end and will one day be a distant memory. I'm sorry you're going through this.

Ugh that stinks!! They get your hopes up and keep you hanging. It's only 3 more days though!! Almost there!!
I give you a lot of credit for making it to 38 weeks. I cant imagine. At nearly 35 weeks and on bedrest for the last 10, I can totally relate to the not being able to do things for yourself and having to rely on people. And recently the hobbling and constant pain. :( I just want to go to homegoods and buy fall decorations and enjoy the fall and I can't. Not only for the bedrest but because of the pain.
It's like we just pray to keep them in til they are ready because we are at risk of PTL and then the bedrest works too well and we are tortured at the end. It's such an emotional rollercoaster. :(
Hang in there! 3 more days til you meet your little ones!!

Wow, I'm sorry you are going through this. Makes me feel like a big baby myself because I may have to wait a week and a half to be induced. Bedrest would just drive me crazy. I hope you are doing well and feeling better once you are holding your babies!! There's a light at the end of the tunnel.
