well that sucked

watching tv last night, i felt a weird pop in my vag ... i remembered seeing on here that somebody else felt that right when their water broke so i ran to the bathroom. I couldn't tell if i was peeing or if it was water so i called the doctor who told me to go to L&D. so DH and I finished packing up the hospital bag and drove over there. after four hours of being strapped into different monitors and getting two different internal exams, they discharged me saying my water did NOT break and, in fact, i wasn't even dilated at all.

so it was a "fun" waste of 4 hours of my life. DH and i got home around 1am and are soooo tired now. work will be "interesting" today.

i know i shouldn't feel this way but i'm a bit embarrassed about it :-/

oh well, i guess it was a good practice run to the hospital. now i know that i should pack a small bag for L&D with just some necessities, and a big bag for the rest of my stay there

Awwww well its better to be safe than sorry .. thats what they say ... you shouldnt feel embarrassed because this is your baby we are talking about and of course your excited for the baby to finally come so you can meet your LO .. at least you have your bag packed now and got a practice run! lol

I agree. Definitely do not be embarrassed. Better to be cautious when it comes to this stuff.

Dont be embarrassed. My water broke and I did not know....I thought I peed my pants. I called my Dr and told him that. He laughed at me (it was 1230 am). Drs hear and see it all and it is always better to be safe then sorry.

FYI - my water broke and I was not dialated at all!!!!
