does the hand preference correlate to whether he/she is right or left handed?

I actually just read somewhere that it does not correlate and you wont be able to tell if they are rightly or lefty until a few years old. Dont know if its true as my two are only 6 mths old so I guess I will see in a few years.

DS has sucked his left thumb since my 16 week sonogram - I don't care what any study says I bet money he is left handed

DD#1(10) sucks her middle and ring fingers on her left hand, she is a righty. Yes she still sucks her fingers There is NO WAY she ever could have been a lefty because those fingers were in her face NON STOP for years.
DD#2 sucks her thumb but it is strange because she will suck either thumb
