My pants don't fit!
First off none of my work pants fit. This would have been the year for me to go out and buy a size up from what I normally wear because they were getting a little tight anyway.
Now, I'm in my 10th week and I can barely close my pants and now my underwear line is showing.
I really didn't want to go and buy maternity pants just yet, but the belly band isn't cutting it for me.
Do you ladies think it's too soon to go and buy maternity pants? I'm worried I'm going to have to buy several pairs as I continue to get further along and end up spending a ton of money.
I'm just frustrated

Re: My pants don't fit!
I'm all for being comfortable! If your regular pants aren't closing or getting tight in the behind I say go and get a nice pair of slacks for work on sale. I bought some from Destination Maternity I think for $24 (or maybe it was $30 I can't remember exactly). But I started wearing them around 14 weeks. I tried stretching my pre-pregnancy pants use with the belly band but I always felt they were pinching so much on my waist when I sat and it started to hurt. The maternity pants are SO comfortable!
And Old Navy is currently have a sale so maybe you'll find some deals there!

Thanks for your response! Does DM have ongoing sales, or do you have to get store coupons?

I say go for it! You wont regret it! Buy the ones with the big top so you will grow into it! With DS I started wearing mine around 19 weeks and I wish I wore it early! This time around I will. They lasted me all preg. though!

LOL I feel the same way!!! I'm almost 13 weeks and I look normal in the morning but I look like I'm "showing" when I get changed after work. I tried the Bella Band too and I think it's just not for me honestly.

They have ongoing sales in the store-usually things marked down slightly. But I haven't received any coupons yet. I've only been to the one on 57th street in the city and the sales associates are so helpful. I feel comfortable asking them how things fit; sizing etc. And they always offer juice & water! Always a nice experience when I go there.

It's not working for me either...lol. This is my first so I don't have maternity pants that I could just bust out. I just feel a little ridiculous walking into one of the maternity stores at 10 weeks and buying pants. I think the sales people are going to look at me like i'm nuts

Don't even worry about it! I bought clothes at 8 weeks and no one gave me looks or said anything. The pants are stretchy so they should fit most of the pregnancy. You'll be so much more comfortable!

Thank you for all of your advice ladies. I think I'm going to suck it up and go into one of those maternity stores this weekend.

Re: My pants don't fit!
Buying maternity pants are the best investment. Once you start wearing elastic pants, you'll never want to go back!
As long as you buy the full panel pants, they should last your entire pregnancy. Most pants come in S-M-L-XL so I doubt you'll have to buy bigger later in pregnancy. Just don't purchase a size that borderline fit. Err on the bigger side and you'll be fine!
DM sells pants for b/w $29-$36 regular price so they are very reasonable. You might as well start wearing them now and get your money's worth!
