when did you tell people?

DH wanted to wait until after our first appointment but I just couldn't. He caved and we told my parents. I am going to tell my brother tonight and then we are going to tell his mom and brother tomorrow. I'm so excited!! I'm really bad at keeping secrets!!! I figure I'll listen to DH about friends and wait till after we hear a heart beat!

when did you tell people?

I told my mom and MIL the day we found out. Told my 2 BFFs the next day. Told our dads and siblings about a week later at Father's day. Everybody else was at 12 weeks and work at about 16 weeks.

DH and i didnt tell anyone until after our first appt at 7 weeks. we then told my mom, dad and sister and I told one friend bc she has two kids and its nice to have someone to speak to about it.
we told everyone else (including inlaws) after the 12 week NT scan once we knew everything was good

I told my friend who knew I was having fertility treatments when I got the positive on the stick. Parents/siblings I waited until ultrasound confirmed twin pregnancy. everyone else I waited until after the 12 week mark

told my sis and brother right away. waited until 1st appt. to tell the parents, and then 12 weeks for everyone else.

We told our parents after our fist doc appt which was at 8 weeks. Told our closest family at 12 weeks and I think the rest found out at 18 weeks. I told my job this week at 21 weeks. This is my fourth so if it we're up to me a lot of people wouldn't have found out until I gave birth. Ddidn't need to hear how crazy I am.

Our parents, the next day or two, siblings and a couple CLOSE friends maybe a week later. "Everyone else" 12 weeks and beyond. I'm 20 weeks and there are still people that don't know. I don't know why but I never feel the need to tell everyone I know.

family at 8 weeks after our 1st appointment and everyone else around 12/13 after we told DS and our scan

Told family at 10 weeks but a couple of my girlfriends knew within days of me finding out.

We told our siblings the same day we found out! I'm VERY close to my sister and DH is very close to his so they both knew within a day of the BFP. Our parents found out a week after that (I was about 5 weeks). We didn't tell anyone else until our first OB appointment where we heard the HB. After that we told close friends only. Only like 2 other people. After the 12 weeks we told everyone else. I never went "public" on Facebook-just don't post there that often; but if I talk to friends privately on facebook I started letting them know after the NT scan at 13 weeks.

Immediate family at 9w. I'm 13w3d and still haven't shared the news.

Only told my sister right away, everyone else not until 10 weeks or so because of a prior mc

We told our parents pretty much as soon as we found out.

we did ivf so everyone knew when we were gonna find out if it took or not

but after we lost our firsta nd we had already told the second and third time we had positives we did not tell anyone

it is a personal decision and no right or wrong

DH was on board for whatever I decided in this department. I told my sister and some close friends right away (before our first appointment). Then after the first appointment I told my brothers and some more friends... and some people found out through LIF. At week 12 we told my parents and my mom proceeded to call everyone she has ever met in life. And we told the rest of our close friends. We told DH's parents and brother/SIL at week 14. After that we posted on FB at around week 18 when we got our amnio results back.

I told my parents and sister the day I POS. We told his family the next day after I had my blood test. They all knew what we were going through so after 2 years of trying we were not waiting to tell. I told my boss at 6 weeks and other co workers right away.

we told are parents and my brother and BIL right away, and our best friends. I had to tell some people at work to avoid getting certain assignments that are dangerous. other then that i am waiting until the end of my first trimester

We waited till we were 9 wks to tell our families. It was x-mas eve and for once everyone was together so, we wanted to make it special. We swore everyone to secrecy and then my dad blabbed to my extended family the next day. I also told my best friend. We waited until we were 12 wks to tell all our friends. I agree w/what a pp said, there is no right or wrong way just whatever you guys are comfy w/. Congrats!

Every pregnancy my immediate family (mom, brothers, sisters) and my best friends were told at around 6 weeks.

Some people said "wow you told so early!" but had something happened (and my third pregnancy unfortunately i miscarried the night i told them) they would all know anyway. I'm so thankful I told my mom and sister, they were a huge source of comfort this time around...

There is no right or wrong time. I would not go telling everyone in the world very early, but family, sure!

We told our parents at 7 weeks (after we heard the hb), close friends and family at 8 weeks, and everyone else at 12 weeks.
